My first big-time feature article with photography has just been published in the latest September 16/2017 issue of TM magazine (Tekniikan Maailma in Finnish). TM is a leading Nordic motoring and technology print publication with a circulation of over 100,000 copies, so it is safe to say that this is a big deal for me. Not only does my story from Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este (link to gallery) cover a whopping 8 pages, it also made a feature in the front cover with a photo! Feels pretty special, to say the least, and the producer’s review of it was nothing short of embarrassingly glowing.

I was invited to photograph at the Royal Concours of Elegance in London, at Hampton Court Palace estate during September 1-3. Invitation was sparked by entering into Classic Driver magazine’s Instagram competition for concours photography, where I was selected as one of the shortlisted 10 finalists, presented right at the tail of the winning photograph. Story of “these are the 10 kings of concours photography” appeared on Classic Driver website in August. End result was an invitation and media accreditation to the spectacular event, with a possibility to be featured in Classic Driver’s social media stream afterwards. So with that, off I went – and here are some selected photographs from the spectacular Hampton Court Palace grounds with finest of metal wrapped into a classic chassis around.
Returning back from Italy as we speak, having covered two of the most amazing historic car events back to back, I’m smitten with Italian attitude to motoring and classic cars. The overwhelming positive attitude shone through in Mille Miglia, and continued in the high-class exclusive event in Cernobbio, Lake Como – Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este.
I’m writing an article with photograhpy from Concoro d’Eleganza for one of the leading motoring and technology magazines in the Nordics, Tekniikan Maailma by Otava Media. Hope to see the story in print soon – after finishing writing the article and sorting out the photos of some of the rarest and exclusive cars on display!
Mille Miglia is a one of the most famous historic car events, ran as a tribute road race from Brescia to Rome and back through numerous beautiful small roads and cities of Italy. This year it was organised throughout four long days between May 18-21st 2017. Mille Miglia is noted as “The most beautiful race in the world” by Italians anyway, and I won’t disagree with that! Here are my selected car, race & people photographs from the 2017 event.
An evening and morning walk in South Helsinki in Ullanlinna area & Kaivopuisto seashore. The morning fog was beautiful and calming. Also got to take my new Fujifilm X-T2 camera out for the first time. Thoroughly enjoyed my one day holiday, with this selected highlight!
Jälleen Kööpenhaminassa! Edellisellä reissulla helmikuussa inspiroiduin Köpiksen persoonallisista polkupyöristä siinä määrin, että kuvasin niitä intensiivisesti koko päivän. Tuon kokemuksen ja pienen taustoitustyön pohjalta kirjoitin viime viikonloppuna artikkelin, jonka koostin kuvakokoelman kera Adobe Spark -esitykseksi nettiin.

The linked story above is an article inspired from the Copenhagen Bikes photos from last February. The article is written by me, available only in Finnish at the moment.
Simple Green, stills in staircase. I happened to visit a beautiful old building at Pakkahuoneenkatu street in my hometown Oulu, and ended up spending an intensive 30 minutes shooting stills at the staircase basking in beautiful shades of vintage green. Here some selected samples from the set.
A selected non-bike street photo from my recent trip in Copenhagen.
