A series on bicycle photography

Photographs shot on streets of Copenhagen, Denmark (Feb 2017) and Oulu, Finland (Mar 2017).

I started walking down the streets of Copenhagen one gray, drizzly vacation day, and the amount of everyday Danish bicycle culture and sheer personal character of the bikes and their details really summoned me. It became an all-encompassing theme for me for an entire day. Later that same week – a late and dark winter city night – I hit the streets of my hometown Oulu in Finland, which is the Winter-biking Capitol of the World, to shoot some local variations of the bi-cycle. Here are some selected shots from these two intense photo power walks.

Next up, later this year I’m planning a photo trip to the bicycle culture hotspot – Amsterdam! 🙂
