Sauna is an everyday holy place for Finns. Ours is the holy grail of saunas - a traditional Finnish smoke sauna by a lake. We heat it up almost daily, year round. Plenty of opportunity, then, to watch how the smoke from the huge fire stove begins to fill the sauna & then escapes from a small opening near the roof. Every time a different kind of playful interplay with light & smoke, I never get tired of it.
