Markku Honkala
I'm a professional freelance photographer and writer, casually serious about my approach. I’m regularly based either in southern Finland (Hämeenlinna & Helsinki), or down in the European hub of Brussels, Belgium. My commissions usually take me to photograph and write articles about international classic events, or to my client's own events.
My goal is to provide my clients with a sense of lasting emotion from the photographs I take, and the articles I write.
I’m regularly featured in the largest technology & motoring print magazine in the Nordics, the TM magazine. I'm also a contract photographer for STT/Lehtikuva's photo bank, the leading stock photo agency in Finland, owned by the largest national media & publishing houses.
While the main gust of my published photographs and articles are about the most prestigious classic car events in the world, such as Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este, or Mille Miglia in Italy - I also shoot a varied range of other aspects of photography: street photography, customer events, corporate photography, nature, conceptual art, nature, people - and hopefully some weddings along the way.

Olen sivutoiminen valokuvaaja ja kirjoittaja, rennosti mutta vakavissani aiheitani lähestyvä. Vaikutan sekä Suomessa (Häme/Helsinki), että ulkomailla Brysselin tukikohdassani. Kuvausreissuni suuntaavat usein kotimaata kauemmas maailmalle klassikkotapahtumia kuvaamaan ja taltioimaan.
Kuvaan ja kirjoitan laadukkaita artikkeleita kiinnostavista kuvauskohteista, esimerkiksi maailmankuuluista klassikkoautojen tapahtumista Italiasta tai Englannista. Työtehtävien ja materiaalien laskutus onnistuu vaivattomasti sekä yrityksille että yksityisille asiakkaille yritykseni kautta.
Olen STT/Lehtikuvan kuvapankin kiinnittämä valokuvaaja. Lehtikuva on Suomen merkittävin kuvatoimisto, jonka omistavat suurimmat kotimaiset mediatalot. Kirjoittamiani laajoja feature-artikkeleita klassikkotapahtumista on säännöllisesti julkaistu Tekniikan Maailman sivuilla vuodesta 2017 alkaen.
