Goodwood Revival (UK)

One of a kind, a huge classic motor festival and dress party for visitors and race teams alike. Put Revival in your bucket list, it’s a mesmerizing experience, especially suited for bringing your significant other along.

My 23/2018 article was one of the main stories of the TM magazine, a seven pager with stories and photos from the racetrack and paddocks.

TM, aka ‘Tekniikan Maailma’ magazine is a leading Nordic motoring and technology magazine, published by Otava Media in Finland. “TM” is their bi-weekly print magazine with circulation ca 100.000 copies and readership ca 250.000 with added social media following.

Morgan Motor Company (UK)

Morgan Motor Company manufactures classic 50’-60’s style British classic sports cars in their red brick home bases in Malvern, UK. Traditional on the outside and interior surfaces, but with modern power plants - the Morgan cars give you the best of both worlds.

This TM magazine feature article 15/2019 was written and photographed by me, spanning seven pages, filled with close ups of the traditional workmanship at the factory. Did you know they’re actually open to public, with an entrance ticket getting you walk through the factory floors on a guided tour!

Mille Miglia (Italy)

“The most beautiful race in the world” - and I’m not the one to challenge that proverb!

One of the most well known and respected classic car events in the world, the Mille Miglia regularity race spans nearly half of Italy from Brescia to Rome and back over four intensely long days. It’s something to behold, an essential Italian experience embracing their passion for fast and beautiful cars. And the scenery, oh the luscious Italian hillside scenery, so complementing the beauty of classic cars of yesteryears.

My large feature for TM magazine covered Mille Miglia from the viewpoint of Colpani Motori, a family business in 4th generation. They are experts in restoration of Italian and European vintage cars, and offering all-inclusice service packages to Mille Miglia crews from their Brescia home base.

Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este (Italy)

The crown jewel of European concours events - Villa d’Este. Access by VIP invitation only, only the very best of the best vehicles are displayed yearly on the five star lawns of Hotel Villa d’Este by Lake Como, Italy. Concours quality means the cars are restored to the highest possible level, or should I say impossible level - most of them are as breathtaking in their rarity as they are in their condition.

This was my first major article for TM magazine in 2017, the story spanning 8 pages in total, so a very special one. The producer’s comment “I couldn’t have done it better myself if I tried” sums it up for me. The article also made magazine front cover mention at the first go, so a double whammy in that regard.

And hopefully many more to come as the world of classic & retro car events resurface from the depths of Covid pandemic in 2022.
